The additive manufacturing industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years, with projections indicating that the 3D printer market will more than double in the next decade. According to a report by Grand View Research, the number of shipped 3D printers is expected to reach 21.5 million by 2030. Consequently, the market now offers an increased variety of 3D printers. From FDM to SLS to DED and more, there are numerous options available for each 3D printing technology. However, this wide selection can make it challenging to make the right choice. To assist you in navigating the market, we try and highlight at least five solutions from of various types from desktop, RepRap/kit, professional, and industrial models each month. Check out the selection below to discover the current popular choices!
Moso MT From Moso3D
Moso MT is an FFF 3D printer from the company Moso 3D. The special feature of this machine is that it allows users to change the print head, choosing from as many as four different types of tools. The ability to change extruders during printing allows both multi-material and multicolor printing. The printer also allows the use of different nozzle sizes. Additionally, the printer features automatic leveling of the print bed and z-offset, an intuitive interface, heated chamber up to 70ºC and heated bed up to 150ºC, and material storage with humidity control system. With a print volume of 300 x 300 x 300 mm and dimensions of 806 x 737 x 862 mm, the printer offers a compact, complete and versatile 3D printing solution.

The J55™ Prime 3D Printer From Stratasys
The J55™ Prime is a compact PolyJet machine, ideal for design projects. It offers great flexibility by printing up to five materials at a time and features around 640 000 unique color combinations, so there is no need for hand-painting. This printer promises high quality results even as a desktop printer. Stratasys describes it as “ultra-quiet” as it produces only 53 decibels, similar to the noise of a household refrigerator. The latter is the feature that makes it an ideal printer for offices, classrooms or studios. As for more detailed features, it offers a printing surface of up to 1,174 cm², measures 651 x 661 x 1,551 mm and has a ProAero air extractor to filter smoke so that the machine does not generate odors. The J55 Prime is compatible with a wide variety of materials, whether textured, opaque, transparent or rigid.

Mars 4 Ultra Resin 3D Printer From ELEGOO
The Mars 4 Ultra from ELEGOO is a high-precision resin 3D printer that uses a 7-inch 9K HD Monochrome LCD screen with a resolution of 8520 x 4320 and a printing accuracy down to 18 micrometers. With its printing speed of up to 150 mm/s, supported by a release film and ELEGOO’s Rapid standard resin, it delivers fast results. The 3D resin printer offers Wi-Fi transmission speeds of 6 to 10 Mbps and is compatible with 4G and 5G networks. In addition, a detachable Wi-Fi antenna on the Z-axis is designed to facilitate the network connection. This allows data to be transferred from the computer to mobile devices without any problems. Thanks to uniform exposure with a light intensity of 92%, the machine ensures uniform curing and smooth surfaces. The linear guide rails also enable precise movements with an accuracy of 0.02 mm, and the laser-engraved build plate optimizes adhesion during the printing process. It also features an air purifier with a plastic cover to protect the activated carbon filter and remove resin odor during the printing process.

The MfgPro236-xS From XYZprinting
The MfgPro236-xS from XYZprinting is an SLS printer for the production of parts with robust mechanical and thermal properties for prototypes, mechanical parts and components for the transportation sector. Measuring 1480 x 850 x 2040 mm, the printer offers a build volume of 230 x 230 x 250 mm. According to XZYprinting, the 3D printer can process PA6, PA11 and TPU. The user can choose between different layer thicknesses, ranging from 0.06 mm to 0.3 mm. The MfgPro236-xS prints at a speed of 22 mm/h and also boasts shorter cooling times. Two software packages are used to control the printer. Firstly, model sintering processes can be executed directly on the 3D printer via Buildware, and secondly, XYZprint AM allows remote access and control.。

The Amcell 4300 3D Printer From Triditive
Developed by Triditive, a company based in northern Spain, this 3D printer is an automated additive manufacturing solution for the mass production of parts. Using AMD (Automated Material Deposition) technology, it can create polymer, metal and composite parts. Its external dimensions are 1.7 x 2 x 2 meters, and its weight is 750 kg. Equipped with a nozzle with diameters ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 mm, and an integrated filament sensor, this machine can heat its printing plate up to 130°C. It also features a material storage area for up to 12 kg of spools, with humidity control. This printer is designed for continuous operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
