Polish company WIMBA, specializing in custom-made, ultra-lightweight 3D-printed orthoses for pets, has opened a new 3D printing facility at its headquarters in Kraków. This strategic investment marks an important step in WIMBA’s ambition to provide customized mobility aids for animals worldwide. Through in-house production, the company aims to improve quality and efficiency in the manufacture of animal orthoses, resulting in faster delivery times and better treatment outcomes for animals.

Having its own production facility enables WIMBA to carry out strict quality controls throughout the manufacturing process.
“With full control over the manufacturing process, we are able to uphold the highest standards for every orthotic and prosthetic, giving pets the best possible care,” added Greg Kosch, CEO and Co-Founder of WIMBA. “Our new facility speeds up production significantly, reducing waiting times for pets that need immediate support. With in-house production processes—including printing, cooling, and sandblasting—we’re able to deliver most standard orthotics within just 10 working days. From the moment the order is placed via WimbaAPP to the moment it reaches the clinic. It also enables us to keep innovating—exploring new materials and refining our designs to better serve pets and veterinary professionals worldwide.”

The new system significantly shortens production times, allowing pets in urgent need of support to be treated more quickly. Through integrated processes such as printing, cooling and sandblasting, WIMBA can deliver most standard orthoses within just ten working days.
WIMBA’s new 3D printing facility also enables continuous innovation by testing new materials and refining designs to better meet the needs of pets and veterinary professionals worldwide.

“Opening our own printing facility marks a new chapter in our journey to becoming the global leader in pet orthotic and prosthetic solutions,” said Franek Kosch, COO and Co-Founder of WIMBA. “This development elevates our ability to deliver superior quality products and underscores our commitment to industry-leading innovation.”
The market for pet technology and veterinary medicine is growing rapidly. According to Fortune Business Insights, the global pet market will grow to 360 billion US dollars by 2030, while veterinary orthopaedics will reach a market value of almost 20 billion US dollars. With over 600 million dogs and just as many cats in developed countries, the demand for orthopaedic care is high. WIMBA, founded in 2022, has already worked with over 220 veterinary professionals in 25 countries and helped more than 700 pets regain mobility.

By expanding its own production capacities, WIMBA is positioning itself as a leading provider in the field of personalized orthopedic care for pets. The new facility in Kraków underlines the company’s commitment to developing innovative solutions and improving the quality of life of animals worldwide.
